Chapter Elections 2023

The Executive would like to update everyone on the Ottawa Chapters 2023 Election. This year the 5 Executive positions were up for a vote and had a deadline of March 31, 2023 for all members to submit any interest in a position.
We would like to inform you all five positions had only one name put forward, therefore no vote is required.
    • President – Angela Guy
    • Vice President – Pat Bergeron
    • Vice President – Caroline Barnett
    • Secretary – Wendy Robblee
    • Treasurer – Annette Robert

We look forward to our virtual AGM on April 19th at 8pm. We will send out the agenda, our last meeting minutes and virtual invite on the 18th.

Annual General Meeting & Election

The Dreams Take Flight Ottawa Annual General Meeting will be held virtually on Wednesday, April 19th at 8:00 pm.

Please note that 2023 is an election year for Dreams Take Flight Ottawa. The following positions are up for vote:

President  *note you must be an Air Canada employee or Retiree to hold this position
Vice President 1
Vice President 2
Secretary
Treasurer

In order to be able to vote, you must be a returning member in good standing. This means that you must have attended at least 50% of the members meetings held in the 2022 year, and paid your membership fee by the deadline (January 31, 2023).

In order to submit your name to the ballot for any of the above positions, you must be a member
in good standing. If you wish to submit your name for any of the above positions, you may do so
at any time by emailing your submission to all Executive Committee members:

Nominations will be accepted by email until Friday, March 31st, 2023. This is the only manner
in which applications will be accepted. Note that the term for any Executive Committee position
is 3 years. Should any positions only receive one name put forward, that person will win the seat
by acclamation.
Voting will take place by secret ballot, using an online voting system in which individual links
will be sent to eligible voting members. Voting will be open from Thursday, April 6th to
Thursday, April 13th, 2023. The results of the vote will be announced at the AGM on
Wednesday, April 19th, 2023.
